4 All We’re Worth Leddy Hammock

“A thousand stars across the sky unveil the universe, then vanish in the morning light that slips around the world.

Yet, you and I know they're up there, the way you know somebody dares to love you all the ways you most deserve.”  “That’s love for all we’re worth, and faith–the heart–comes first.

And when we learn to let it in, it’s heaven here on earth, this love for all we’re worth.”

“Where past and future start and end, this very moment shines–a fire in the winter cold we treasure more than any gold and know what’s ours to touch is still Divine.

It’s love for all we’re worth. What starts and ends begins anew, it’s everything, it’s me and you . . . .  It’s love for all we’re worth.”

“That's love for all we’re worth, and faith–the heart–comes first.  And when we learn to let it in, it’s heaven here on earth, this love for all we’re worth.”

“When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place–What are humans that you are mindful of them, mere mortals that you care for them?  Yet you have made them little less than a god, crowned them with glory and honor.  You have given them rule over the works of your hands, put all things at their feet . . . .  O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth!”  (Psalm of David 8:4-19).

“A thousand stars across the sky unveil the universe, then vanish in the morning light that slips around the world.  Yet, you and I know they're up there, the way you know somebody dares to love you all the ways you most deserve.”

Jesus said, “Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin?  Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge.  Even all the hairs of your head are counted.  So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Mt. 10:29-31).

“That’s love for all we’re worth, and faith–the heart–comes first.  And when we learn to let it in, it’s heaven here on earth, this love for all we’re worth.”

Jesus taught that the first commandment is:  “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no other commandment greater than these.’  The scribe said to him, ‘Well said, teacher.  You are right in saying, ‘He is One and there is no other than he.’  And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices’” (Mark 12:28-33).

Where past and future start and end, this very moment shines–a fire in the winter cold we treasure more than any gold and know what’s ours to touch is still Divine.  It’s love for all we’re worth. What starts and ends begins anew, it’s everything, it’s me and you . . . .  It’s love for all we’re worth.

“The peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers [and sisters] , whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things” (Phil. 4:5-8).

“That's love for all we’re worth, and faith–the heart–comes first.  And when we learn to let it in, it’s heaven here on earth, this love for all we’re worth.”
