Follow Our Progress!
Our beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and divine timing and we are ready to receive it!
We are deeply grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition. We’re very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our home campus.
We’re excited to be on the move with our new building construction and we’ll keep the progress updated on this page.
Our contractor, Bill Botelho, is currently mobilizing and securing subcontractors. To date the concrete/masonry, plumbing and electrical contracts have been awarded. Soon we should start seeing activity on the site.
On February 2, our ministry team along with some congregants held a blessing on the site. They were joined by The Reverend Amy Kindred from UU Clearwater and Bhante Dhammawansha from the Dhamma Wheel Meditation Society.
On February 16, we had our groundbreaking ceremony after church. Leddy along with her husband Russ, Contractor Bill Botelho, Construction consultant Don Donahue and the UCC Board of Directors, gold shovels in hand, turned the first bit of soil to commemorate the beginning of the construction. Our UCC band also took part and led everyone in a sing along to open the ceremony.
Below is a video montage of both events as well as a brief animated conceptual walk through of part of the new building. Enjoy!
More to come soon!
