Know Thyself Leddy Hammock

Know Thyself Leddy Hammock

Inspired by lyrics by Megon McDonough in “I Am” (and based on Chapter 2 of Practical Metaphsics by Eric Butterworth:

We are each, in potential, the I Am. That’s all we need to be.

We are so much more than our body, more than our mind.  What we are is the great I Am, before and after time.

Here and now, we are each being healed, for the Great I Am lives in and through each of us, for that’s how it is revealed.

We are discovering who we really are.  We are so much more than our feelings, more than our fears.

We have that voice within us with the answer, every day, and we hear it every time we get out of the way.

Jesus is God’s Child and we are all God’s children.  We are here to make a difference, to set and be set free.

I Am and you are the I Am.

“Jesus said to them, ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM’" (Jn. 8:58).

We are each, in potential, the I Am.  That’s all we need to be.
We are so much more than our body, more than our mind.
What we are is the great I Am, before and after time.

Jesus said:  ”Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works . . . . Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these . . .”  (John 14:10-12).

Here and now, we are each being healed, for the Great I Am lives in and through each of us, for that’s how it is revealed.  We are discovering who we really are.

“Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life’" (Jn. 8:12); “You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden” (Mt. 5:14).

We are so much more than our feelings, more than our fears.  We have that voice within us with the answer, every day, and we hear it every time we get out of the way.

God said, “You are gods, all of you sons of the most High’” (Psalm 82:6); “Jesus answered them, ‘Is it not written in your law, '. . . ‘You are gods’'? . . . It calls them gods to whom the word of God came, and scripture cannot be set aside. . . .  Realize (and understand) that the Father is in me and I am in the Father’" (Jn. 10:34-8).

Jesus is God’s Child and we are all God’s children.  We are here to make a difference, to set and be set free.  I Am–and you are–the I Am.
