A Sweet Release Leddy Hammock

A Sweet Release Leddy Hammock

Lyrics to “Illuminate” by Sloan Wainwright and Stephen Murphy

“Light the candle, illuminate your heart. Don’t be afraid of the dark . . . .

Ring out the old, bring in the new, bless and release what you have to, and love with love with hope . . . .

Ring out the old, bring in the new, bless and release what you have to, and love with hope . . . .

Light the candle, illuminate your heart.”

You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house  (Mt. 5:14-15).

Light the candle, illuminate your heart.  Don t be afraid of the dark.

…The land into which you are crossing . . . is . . . a land which the LORD, your God, looks after; his eyes are upon it continually from the beginning of the year to the end  (Deut. 11:11-12).

Ring out the old, bring in the new, bless and release what you have to.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; Upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom a light has shone  (Is. 9:1).

"Light the candle, illuminate your heart. Love with hope."

Thus says the LORD, who created you , . . . Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine. . . . Because you are precious in my eyes and glorious, and because I love you, . . . Fear not, for I am with you . . . Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not; See, I am doing something new!  It is I, I, who wipe out, for my own sake, your offenses; your sins I remember no more  (Is. 43:1-25).

“Ring out the old, bring in the new, Bless and release what you have to, Light the candle, illuminate your heart.”
