Although Joseph’s brothers had sold him into slavery in his youth, by the time they were seeking refuge in Egypt to escape a famine in their homeland, Joseph had become the Pharaoh’s right hand man. “Then his brothers proceeded to fling themselves down before him and said, ‘Let us be your slaves!’ But Joseph replied to them, ‘Have no fear…. Even though you meant harm to me, God meant it for good…” (Gen.50:18-21).
