“Building Our Blessing” – Leddy Hammock

“Building Our Blessing” – Leddy Hammock

Inspired by lyrics from “What I Seek Is Seeking Me” by Sue Riley and Jana Stanfield

“The whisper that I hear in my heart, telling me it’s time to start
To set my inhibitions free, become the ‘me’ I’m here to be.

So, I’ll act brave as if I am, act ‘as if’ until I can, live each day as though I know that what I seek is seekin’ me, even when that’s hard to see.

I choose faith, so I believe, that what I seek is seekin’ me.”

“I will praise the Lord with all my heart in the assembled congregation of the upright. Great are the works of the Lord” (Ps. 111: 1-9).

“The whisper that I hear in my heart, telling me it’s time to start to become the ‘me’ I’m here to be. What I seek is seeking me.”

“Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build. May the Lord bless you . . . may you see . . . prosperity all the days of your life” (Ps. 127:1-5).

Let God’s love be manifested through me so that “I let my inhibitions free, become the ‘me’ I’m here to be.” Let God’s blessings be built up bountifully through me. The good I seek is seeking me.

The overseer of the harvesters told Boaz that Ruth, the gleaner, “has remained here until now, with scarcely a moment’s rest.” Boaz said to Ruth: “You have … come to a people whom you did not know previously. May the LORD reward what you have done. May you receive a full reward from the Lord . . . , under whose wings you have come for refuge . . . . Bless the LORD who has not failed to provide you today” (Ruth 2:11-12).

I am fierce in faith, ready to serve, and open to God’s love. “So, I’ll act brave as if I am, act ‘as if’ until I can live each day as though I know that what I seek is seeking me, even when it’s hard to see.”

“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. . . . Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me . . . . Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me” (Jn. 6:35-45).

I come to God in prayer and God receives me and blesses me and builds up blessings through me. “I choose faith, so I believe that what I seek is seeking me!”
