This week’s lesson inspired by lyrics to “Love Is Alive” by Richad Mekdeci and Tim Burnaman:
“Rise up, rise up this morning, rise up and say, ‘Love is alive, in my heart, in my life today, everywhere in this world.
Love is alive in this place. I can feel it, Spirit’s in this place. I can see it, shining in each face.’ Rise up, rise up this morning.
Rise up, rise up and say, ‘Love is, Love is alive in my heart, in my life, everywhere in the world, every face in this place. Love is alive! Love is alive in our hearts, in our lives, today, here for each other the way it’s meant to be — sisters and brothers, one great family.’
Rise up, rise up this morning. Rise up, rise up and say, ‘Love is, love is alive in my heart, in my life, everywhere in the world, every face in this place! Love is alive!’”
““I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God, have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. . . . where I am you also may be.” “Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater things” (John 13:34; 14:1-12).
“Rise up, rise up this morning, rise up and say,
‘Love is alive, in my heart, in my life today, everywhere in this world.
Love is alive in this place. I can feel it, Spirit’s in this place. I can see it, shining in each face.’”
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments …. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will live …. You will realize that I am in my Father and you in me and I in you …. The holy Spirit … will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you …. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid …. As the Father loves me, so I also love you” (Jn. 14:15-15:9).
“Rise up, rise up this morning. Rise up, rise up and say, ‘Love is, Love is alive in my heart, in my life, everywhere in the world, every face in this place. Love is alive!’”
“This is my commandment: love one another as I love you …. The Spirit of truth … will guide you in all truth …. I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and one will take your joy away from you . . . . For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me” (Jn. 15:12-16:27).
“Love is alive in our hearts, in our lives, today,
here for each other the way it’s meant to be —
sisters and brothers, one great family. Rise up, rise up this morning.”
“When Jesus had said this, he raised his eyes . . . and said, ‘Father . . . I pray . . . that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us . . . . and that you loved them even as you loved me . . . . because you loved me before the foundation of the world . . . . I made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them” (Jn. 17:1-26).
“Rise up, rise up and say, Love is, love is alive in my heart, in my life, everywhere in the world,
every face in this place! Love is alive!”
