Inspired by lyrics to “Silver Lining” by Tom Kimmel and Jeff Franzel:
“You don’t have to say a word. I can see how much that hurt. Listen, now, for what it’s worth. Help is on the way.
Sometimes when you’re in despair, you forget somebody cares, you miss the love that’s always there when you feel that way. So, if you’re down and out, If no one can save you now, let there be no doubt, it’s gonna be all right. The world keeps turning . . . . There’s a silver lining to everything.
Sometimes when you need some help . . . till you feel right, there’s nothing left, and nothing’s gonna change. So if you’re feeling blue, like this time you won’t pull through, that’s not half the Truth, it’s gonna be all right, don’t you worry. Even when the sun is hiding, somewhere in the world it’s shining, even when it seems so far away, there’s a silver lining to everything.
To learn to fly, you risk it all and how it hurts to fall. You wanna run, but there’s another way . . . . I know you’re feelin’ brokenhearted, but soon you’ll see it’s where we started looking for the Love that saves the day. There’s a silver lining to everything. Even when the sun is hiding, somewhere else the sun is shining. There’s a silver lining to everything.”

“Thus says the LORD . . . : I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you” (II Kings 20:5).
Help is on the way. Sometimes when I’m in despair, I forget somebody cares. I miss the Love that’s always there when I feel that way. Even when the sun is hiding, somewhere else the sun is shining. I know there’s a silver lining to everything.
“For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living. I kept faith, even when I said, ‘I am greatly afflicted!’” (Ps. 116:8-10).
Even when I’m feeling blue, I know that I will pull through. Even when the sun is hiding, somewhere else the sun is shining. I know there’s a silver lining to everything.
“Those who sow in tears will reap with cries of joy. Those who go forth weeping, carrying sacks of seed, will return with cries of joy, carrying their bundled sheaves” (Ps.126:5-6). I remember that the Master taught, “Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Mt. 5:4).
Even feelin’ brokenhearted, I can see it’s where I started looking for the Love that saves the day. Even when the sun is hiding, somewhere else the sun is shining. I know there’s a silver lining to everything.
“Thus says the LORD: Cease your cries of mourning, wipe the tears from your eyes. The sorrow you have shown shall have its reward …. There is hope for your future” (Jer. 31:16-17).
Even when the sun is hiding, somewhere else the sun is shining. I know there’s a silver lining to everything.
