The LORD God told Moses to lead the children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. God said to Moses: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid . . . . Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, ‘Be strong and courageous . . . . The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you he will never leave you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged’” (Deuteronomy 31:6-8).
I am strong and courageous. All my heart is open wide.
The LORD said to Joshua: “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them” (Joshua 1:6).
I am strong and courageous. I listen inside to the whisper: I’m all that I need.
King David said to his son, Solomon: “Be strong and courageous and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD, God, my God is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you (I Chronicles 28:20).
