My world reflects what I believe.” I believe in God, the Good–everywhere and all the time.
“Then the word of the LORD came to [Abraham] . . . . He took him outside and said: Look up at the sky and count the stars, if you can” (Gen. 15:4).

When the Children of Israel were ready to cross the Jordan into the Promised Land, Joshua said to them: “This is now you will know that there is a living God in your midst” (Joshua 3:10). “No sooner had these priestly bearers of the ark waded into the waters at the edge of the Jordan . . . than the waters flowing from upstream halted, backing up in a solid mass . . . . Thus the people crossed over” (Joshua 3:15-16).
