Inspired by “Show Up” by Richard Mekdeci, Glen Roethel, and Claudia Carawan:
I want to show up as love, hold the door open for everyone, fill the room below to above.
I want to show up as love.”I want to show up as peace, see no brother as the least, listen more than I speak.
I want to show up as love. I want to show up as peace. I’m here to make the best of it – to give a lot and take only a bit.
I want to show up as Truth. What you get is a hundred proof. In all I say and all I do, I want to show up as Truth.
I want to show up as joy, like a child with a brand new toy. I’ll spread it, share it, fill the void. I want to show up as joy. Show up!

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, offer no resistance . . . . When someone strikes you on (your) right cheek, turn the other one to him as well. If anyone wants to go to law with you over your tunic, hand him your cloak as well. Should anyone press you into service for one mile, go with him for two miles” (Mt. 5:38-41).

Jesus told the story of a king who said to his loyal followers, “‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me . . . ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me. . . . Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me'” (Mt. 25:34-7).

"A good tree . . . [will] bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not pick figs from thornbushes . . . . A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good . . . . I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built” (Lk. 6:43-8).

Jesus said: "It will be as when a man who was going on a journey called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them. To one he gave five talents . . . . Then he went away . . . . After a long time the master of those servants came back and settled accounts with them. The one who had received five talents came forward bringing the additional five. He said, 'Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.' His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master's joy'” (Mt. 25:14-21).
