From lyrics to “Resolve to Evolve” by Robert D. Anderson:
“You won’t find no peace of mind ‘til you learn that life can be more – You can:
Resolve to evolve – Get on the spiritual path
Resolve to evolve – Give your brain a metaphysical bath
You can resolve to evolve – Leave your mental baggage behind
It may sound strange but the world won’t change ‘til you re-arrange your mind.”

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what is unusual about that? . . . . ‘ So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Mt. 5:43-48).
It may sound strange, but the world won’t change ‘til I re-arrange my mind. I resolve to evolve.
“At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known . . . . In an instant, in the blink of an eye . . . . we shall be changed…. Therefore, my beloved . . . be firm, steadfast, always fully devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (I Cor. 13:9-12; 15:52-8).
I resolve to evolve. I stay on the spiritual path.
“Beloved, we are God's children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed” (I Jn 3:1-2).
“I can’t fly if my ‘I, Me, My’ keeps draggin’ me down.” I resolve to evolve.
The first men Moses sent into the promised land came back and said, “All the people we saw there are huge men, veritable giants . . . . we felt like mere grasshoppers, and so we must have seemed to them” (Numbers 13:32). “Caleb, however, to quiet the people toward Moses said, ‘We ought to go up and seize the land, for we can certainly do so” (Num. 13:30). Moses said, “If the LORD is pleased with us, he will bring us in and give us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey. . . you need not be afraid” (Num. 14:8-9).
Bravely and faithfully, I resolve to evolve!
