From the lyrics to “Wrap You Up” by StoweGood.
“My mother was a quilter, a poet and a sage. She wrote her life in fabric instead of on a page.
She wrapped my life in wonder, her love made me whole. Here’s the prayer with every stitch she wove into my soul.
‘Let your mother wrap you up in love. Know that you are always taken care of. All is perfect and complete when you laugh, love, and believe. Let your mother wrap you up in love.’”

“You, LORD, will not forsake your people, nor abandon your very own. Judgment shall again be just, and all the upright of heart will follow it . . . . When I say, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your love, LORD, holds me up. When cares increase within me, your comfort gives me joy” (Psalm 94:14-19).
I give thanks for the many loving mothers I’ve had in my life. Through all of them, the Holy Spirit guides me, comforts me, and gives me joy.
“For thus says the LORD: Lo, I will spread prosperity over her . . . . As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms . . . “ (Isaiah 66:12).
The Holy Comforter wraps me up in “a quilt of love” that makes me whole.
“As a mother comforts her [child], so will I comfort you . . . ; you shall find your comfort. When you see this, your heart shall rejoice” (Isaiah 66:13-14).
When I see the healing work of the Holy Comforter in my life, I know that I am always taken care of.
Jesus said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter . . . even the Spirit of truth . . . dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless . . . . The Comforter . . . shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:15-27).
All is perfect and complete when we laugh, love, and believe. Let the Mother wrap you up in love.
